You can't download the application because there is no download available on the official website. As I can see, it appears that the software's licence is commercial which means that you have to buy it in order to obtain a download link from their servers.
I am also not sure about the 2014 version. I've checked the official website and it doesn't appear to be available at all.
I have just rebuilt my PC including a clean install to Windows 10 and installed Family Tree Maker 2012 Platinum for which I have the disc. Some time ago I upgraded and purchased the 2014 edition. My question is what procedure do I need to follow to reinstall the 2014 edition? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I could email you the program image, but you can find it also by doing a Google search for "Family Tree Maker 2014 download". That's probably the best answer, it seems impossible to find the link on Ancestry's website (they seem to be pulling out of the market for some reason).
I have Generations Family Tree Grande Suite V 6.0. I've updated my computer to Windows 8.1 and the program will not load. What can I do? Do you have a compatible program that I can keep my information?

The application was created for Windows 95 and Windows 98. It will not load in Windows 8.1 even if you apply patches or fixes. It wasn't designed to be ready for Windows 8.1 because this OS wasn't released at that time. Unfortunately, there isn't anything you can do except using Family Tree Maker 2014 which is compatible with Windows 8 and 8.1.
I currently am using Family Tree Maker 2006. I have my family tree almost complete. How do I upgrade to 2012 or 2014 and keep all the information I have already supplied?

You will have to back up the data first, and then install the new version and attempt a possible Import operation. Start the application, then go to File > Export or File > Save and save the file to FTW format. Install the latest version and then you can open the FTW file and have all the information added to the database.

The latest version is Family Tree Maker 2017, therefore I don't actually think that you can upgrade from those old versions.
You should contact the developers of Family Tree Maker to obtain the right details regarding the update or upgrade to a new version of the software.
